New Version Of The Mame Frontend MAMEP GUI

A Mame frontend ‘with similar functionality and interface as MAMEUI’ to quote the author, this version sees a Linux and SDLMame compatible version so let’s take a closer look:

with much help from powtrix, here comes the Linux/X11 build.
• Linux build [powtrix]
• added Brazilian translation [powtrix]
• click image to rotate snapshot tabs
• added menu to switch GUI styles
• added path selector for history.dat, mameinfo.dat, story.dat

Notes for Linux build:
• this is a native x11 application, don’t try to run it on an NTFS drive. EDIT: found a bug, dont put it in the same directory as sdlmame for now.
• make sure the user have sufficient privilege to read/write GUI settings directory “$HOME/.mamepgui” and SDLMAME config directory “$HOME/.mame” or “etc/sdlmame”
• there are still some Linux-specific bugs, sometimes you have to restart FE after F5 auditing, and you can’t sort the game list.
• this FE will be open source in a few releases.
