New Version Of The Amiga Desktop Package AmigaSYS

The AGA version of this high end Amiga desktop environment is out, for those not familiar with Amiga terms that means this one is for running on real Amiga 1200’s and 4000’s and there’s a rather large list of changes for this one so let’s get stuck in shall we?

Installer:
• Button selected options (languages, AmigaOS install selection).
• MENU bug fixed (Not executable…).
• Fully rewritten 3.0/3.1 AGA installers wich are knows the new options (Commodore Workbench 3.0/3.1/Amiga Forever Workbenches, 1 or 2 ldisked install, etc)
• Music under AmigaOS installing, Interference.
• English, Deutsch, Hungarian, Polish, Italian installing language and claviature map.
• PAL/NTSC DBLPAL/DBLNTSC resolution selection, over than 30 pre-configured.
• Icon select: MagicWb, MagicWb AF, Newicons, Newicons AF.
• More than 50 RAM and turbocard supported, selection at the installer.
• Amiga AGA / WinUAE installer synchronized (installer works under both Amiga and WinUAE, no strange errors, attribute, etc).
• Structured installers: music, outro, resolutions, languages, etc.
• A lot of language and syntax error corrected.
• ASCII charactered helps, (3 steps 1, what to do 2, with what 3, how the installer starting)
• Installing protection, if you choosed a wrong installation, then you can start again.
• A lot of external (replacement) program used.
• New AGA Outro scripts, pics about the contributors, partner sites, and with the names of supporters.
  Note:
  AmigaOS 3.9 installing only in installed 3.0/3.1 system (opposite the WinUAE version, the AGA version does not supports the AOS3.9 installing under AmigaDOS. There are several reasons CD-ROM version/SCSI/CACHECDFS/UNIT, etc compatibility problems).
  Put your AmigaOS 3.9 based CD under the installed system and mount. The installer automaticely recognize it, do not click on the install button :).
  To change the resolutions, use the built-in AmigaSYS resolutions, not directly the Screenmode.

Full 5 languaged supports for the followings:
• Tinymeter menu components, selectable menues, installers 3.0/3.1/3.9, Scriptek, About, Help files, AmigaSYS special settings, resolutions, language selection, hardware modification, prepareemul etc…

Upgrades and fixes:
• New Hardware installation / or change support, more than 50 supported hardware.
• List or change the installed AmigaSYS optimalizations and check the real hardware (CPU/FPU/RAM/Type), you can easily check if your system works with the best settings.
• Every bootscreen is different, displays CPU and machine type.
• Bootmusic: at every boot, a pleasant music welcomes the user.
• Prepareemul support for ShapeShifter Macintosh emulator Amiga 1200 (3.0/3.1/3.9)
• MacMEM support for ShapeShifter Macintosh emulator Amiga 4000 (3.0/3.1/3.9)
• Upgraded and faster resolutions PAL/NTSC/DBLPAL/DBLNTSC (3.0/3.1/3.9), more than 30 pre-configured.
• Icon selection MagicWB/MagicWB-AF/Newicons/Newicons-AF, Special 3.9 setting (3.0/3.1/3.9).
• Upgrade support introduced 3.0/3.1/3.9. We can upgrade our system with the later released AmigaSYS patch files.
• A lot new graphical change and fix in the visuals.
• PS2 mouse converters supported.
• Amiga Forever 5-2008, AmigaOs 3.9 install supported.
• H&P AmigaOS 3.9 installer bugs are fixed.
• Blizzkick fixes, the 3.1 Kickstart file must be copied into Devs:Rom3.1 directory.
• Motorola 68020, 030, 040, 060 program and system optimalizations, even more and even better.
• Addbuffers accelerator for the filesystem (System) (LALT+F1=+2000 LALT+F2=-2000).
• At the right side, a fully Tinymeter controlled menucolumn: with buttons, built-in programs, memory display, clock, extra quicklaunch icons.
• The Readme files rewritten into ASCII, now the multiview opens it instead of IBROWSE much faster and more perspicuous.
• In AmigaSYS menu there is a separated button with the AmigaSYS supporter’s names and the contributors.
• AmigaSYS version button added.

Original AmigaSYS 4 fixes/upgrades built into the AGA system, +AGA settings and modifications:
• Right clicked Tool menu contents removed,(become categories: System, Internet, Players, Emulators, Games, AmigaSYS, similar to the Tinymeter menu on the right side).
• A lot of new and newer catalog files expanded/actualized.
• New MUI settings (new patterns, fonts, a lot of re-settings in the classes, bugfixes, special characters, new classes etc)
• MUI key support, (if you got a MUI key file, you will get a beautiful outlook, when you copy it into it’s place (e.g.:S), without key, the default but renewed AGA outlook will be set.)
• Tinymeter fixes, settings.
• Program optimalizations, correct STACK values.
• Fixed identify.library (the installed version has missing things, worked bad).
• Fixed palette settings 3.0/3.1/3.9 (the old default gray replaced to a nicer).
• The Emulator, Games, Player scripts are removed, iconed display created.
• PNG display fixed on KS3.0/WB3.0 (now any png picture will work on a 3.0 system too.)
• MMKeyboard bug fixed, (multimedia files were misplaced.)
• New MMKeyboard config, considering the WHDLOAD and other programs hotkey functions: - - F2 Filemaster, - F3 Newshell, - F4 IBrowse, - F5 Mount Menu, - F6 Visage, - F7 BareEd, - F8 SongPlayer.
• IBROWSE setting bugs (Mainly font bugs, wrong font was set, wich was not available on the system, this caused a very ugly look in browsing, all font were mainly optimalized to 640×512).
• IBROWSE favorites filled in (with the AmigaSYS partner sites, completed)
• All the old and crowded IBROWSE buttons are deleted, (there are new buttons, with AGA optimalization).
• The YAM address book error and button glitch are fixed (at start it showed an error message and the buttons were misplaced).
• A lot of new extras in the 3.9 installers, (kickstart 3.0/3.1 distinguisher fixes, faster automatized CD recognizing)
• Script fixes (Syntax errors fixed in all scripts and installers, e.g.: ” , ” ” : ” “Amiga oS 3.9″).
• Polish TTF and default fonts, ISOPL and claviature map added.
• Fixed OS3.0/3.1 SGRAB bug, (sometimes crashed at start.)
• Fixed Jabberwocky bug, (didn’t started.)
• Webplug mui bug fixed.
• Unstructures scripts optimalized, deleted and rewritten from 3.0 to 3.9.
• GUIGFX fix in iGames program for 68020 systems.
• Icon archives deleted, (by opening the directory, a menu opens with the used icon’s name, with one click we can go to the author’s webpage).
• AmigaSYS “BIOS” menu (If we continously press the right mouse button during boot, we get an AmigaSYS “BIOS” AmigaDOS menu.)
  Wich is available: Bareed (If you set something wrong, then you can modify it without the system, e.g. startup-sequence.) CD mount, FileMaster, Shell (to run other programs, even game/demo wich needs 2 mb chip ram), VirusZ, Version (AmigaSYS version+settings), AmigaSYS Screenmode (resolution change, if you set a wrong resolution in the system, you can fix it here, because in the “DOS” mode the old Screenmode.prefs aren’t used), ReBoot.
  And a lot of other things, wich i even cannot remember, so it’s left out from here…
