About
History
EmulationHQ was started on March 8th, 1999 by bwb. It was based off my old site “The Unofficial UltraHLE Project”. EmulationHQ was started as a Next Gen emulation only site but that didn’t last too long. On Friday, July 23rd, 1999, EmuHQ received a new layout and we began to cover classic emulation news as well. That couldn’t be done without the help of our classic emulation expert, Peter. We’re dedicated to bringing you the best of emulation every single day!

I started this site after UltraHLE was released but I have always been a big fan of emulation. The first emulator I tried was Nesticle and I was instantly hooked. I love arcade games like Punisher and the older space games.

Web Hosting And Our Dedicated Server
We use UK2 for the dedicated server that powers our site. We use a lot of bandwidth and CPU and so far they have been great! I highly recommend them if you are wanting to start a blog or website. For my personal site I use their cheap home web hosting plan and for this site we have a Bronze dedicated server.
I’ll post any future thoughts here and any other recommendations on our web hosting page. I love making web sites so I’ve literally gone through 40 web hosting companies to find the good ones.
